Spring Song Contest 2010
JUNE 15, 2010 is the final day to get your song submissions postmarked to be eligible for the Spring Song Contest.

This year's prizes include:
* Grand Prize Winner * Receives the following:
One thirty minute one on one session with a major publisher
One 3hr session with Cash Edwards Music Services
One photo shoot with John Carrico
Basic web site set up and consultation on merchandising on the internet with Austen Jones of Evolved Ideas
4hrs pre production and recording with Stephen Doster producing
Entry into the 2011 Songwriters Symposium
Special showcase performance at Songwriters Symposium
SXSW showcase for ASG 2011 at Threadgills
One year membership to ASG
One free workshop of your choice
* First Place in Each Category - One Entry into the 2011 Symposium , One year membership, One free entry into the 2011 Spring Song Contest
* Second Place in Each Category - One Year membership to the Austin Songwriters Group, One ASG workshop of your choice during the year,
* Third Place in Each Category - One ASG membership
All winners will receive an ASG certificate award officially designating how they finish in the contest.
Artists in all genres are accepted and the categories for entry are:
Americana / Folk / Blue Grass
Country
Rock / Alternative
Pop
Blues
Christian / Gospel,
Singer-Songwriter
Bare Bones
Jazz / Classical / Instrumental
Lyrics only
General (including patriotic, childrens, comedy, novelty, showtunes, etc.).
Reggae / Hip Hop / Rap
Artists may submit an unlimited number of songs to the contest.
Judges include the ASG board, advisory board, and prominent #1 hit songwriters, major producers, publicists, media, and other music industry professionals
The cost for members is $20.00 for each song entry
